When our bodies, our soul, or our spirit becomes sick, or in pain for an extended period of time, it is easy for the spirit of depression to overcome our faith in God.
Easy to forget that it is Jesus who is with you.
Jesus, who goes before you.
“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:20)
I believe in the power of prayer.
I believe it is important to remember that we are in His hands; that he is with us; that we are not alone.
The Bible describes this world as the Valley of the Shadow of Death. (see Psalm 23)
As God’s children, as we walk in the valley, we will not only suffer, we are meant to suffer.
Jesus looks at his disciples and tells them, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”
Luke 9:23
As sure as Jesus was meant to suffer, so are we.
On my last visit to the hospital, I had to be admitted.
As I lay in the hospital bed, what kept coming to mind, and gave me hope, was the fact that I was in good company.
After all, as Christ hung from the cross that day, he also became sick.
It was by his grace that day that I did not die, and eventually was healed; but above all else, what gave me hope was prayer.
I can’t guarantee what results will come from reciting and coming into agreement with these prayers, but one thing I do know is, just like me, these prayers will give you hope in despair.
If you have a friend or family member who is going through hardship, share these prayers with them, read them out loud together, and come into agreement with them. Prayer for healing for a friend is a gift that will stay with them; a gift that will bless them, and you.

Father in heaven, we thank you, bowing our hearts to you in a submission for you are worthy to be praised.
In Jesus’ mighty name we come to you asking for mercy, hope: and healing to be brought to a place of mercy, hope, and healing.
We know what the doctors say, but you have the final word, and by your will we are petitioning for a healing only a touch of your garment can grant.
Bless us father, for we are weak.
Bless us father, for sickness has descended.
Send us your abundance.
Send us your mercy.
Prayers for healing in Santification
Father in heaven, in thankfulness for all your good gifts, and in praise of your greatness, I asked that you comfort me as suffering has taken hold of me.
I reach to you for healing because you are righteous and worthy to be praised. I turn to you because you are the life giver, the great I am, the promised deliverer through whom blessings come, the climax of all history who gives me strength to my body and heals me.
Blessed is the one who seeks you, for you comfort us. Blessed is the one who reaches for you, for the fullness of your glory sanctifies us.
As your sweet grace brings me and teaches me your mercy, restore the reservoir of faith inside of me, that, by your will, I may be healed.
