I didn’t actually get through that many products in June, and I don’t think I’m going to get through many in July either since I’m going on holidays! Here are my June empties:
Villainess Ginger Snapped Soap – I got this in a subscription box a while back, and while this soap is small, it lasts quite a while – it does go unevenly coloured and for some reason, it curls really easily, but the scent is great and there’s something really nice about using boutique bathing products.
Lush Lemony Flutter – I love this cuticle balm! Although it contains lemon, I haven’t had any issues with it, and I actually quite like having something acidic to apply after using highly alkaline cuticle remover. This jar is way too big to use before the use-by date though, and when it goes off it smells rancid so this was less of an empty and more of a “I had to bin the contents before I retched”. I’d recommend buying a tub with a friend or two and splitting the contents. If you’re having issues with grittiness, I’ve got instructions here on how to melt Lemony Flutter in your microwave and reblend it. I don’t think I’ll rebuy it soon though since I’ve got heaps of Lemon-Free Flutter to get through!
The Face Shop Verbena Soothing Body Gel Lotion – This had a lovely scent but it was way too light to do anything for my legs.
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub – Again, something I loved but couldn’t get through before it expired. It’s a little overpriced for a jar of sugar and you can easily DIY this with oil and sugar and a bit of flavouring, but the bubblegum flavouring is so delicious and I’m lazy.
Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo – This is a good shampoo – I liked it but I didn’t love it. The conditioner, on the other hand, is amazing, and likely to turn up in my July empties.
Urban Skincare Co Daily Body Cleanser – This has a nice herbal scent, and works pretty well without dying my winter skin out.
Appelles Blackseed Shampoo – This shampoo smells heavenly and cleans my hair reasonably well. I can’t really say for sure because I haven’t tried it alone for long enough.
How good is Moroccan oil? Love it. Gorgeous blog.
