Today I’ve got some of the Mariah Carey Holiday OPI collection to show you – I Snow You Love Me, All Sparkly and Gold, and Emotions, a black liquid sand. It’s a very glittery, shiny collection, as you’d expect!

I Snow You Love Me is a unique glitter polish. It’s hard for big brands to compete with indies for unique glitters, but impressively the patterned holo circles are something I’ve never seen before. The glitter is a bit sparse in the base, and I didn’t like the look of random dots on my nail, so I scraped the glitters off with a toothpick and carefully placed them on the nail over a base of OPI Die Another Day from last year’s Christmas collection. I love the look – very festive, like a crystal-studded bauble!

All Sparkly and Gold doesn’t mess around with its name – it’s sparkly, and gold, and doesn’t disappoint in either department. It’s a fine glitter in a clear base, and I used 3 thin coats for full coverage.

Emotions is a pure black liquid sand with shiny black hex glitter in it. I’m usually not a fan of creme texture polishes, but the hexes add sparkle and I quite like it. Shimmers are still my favourite type of texture polish, but this is a nice, subtle variation. It doesn’t quite look as bitumen-y in person as it does in these close-up, larger-than-life photos – it resembles charcoal more. I needed 3 coats for this, and had to let it dry completely (overnight) for this to look nice.

  1. Round holo glitter?? Yes please!

The gold is very pretty, but I’ll probably pass on it as I’m not a big gold fan. Nice for holiday manis, though.

The black liquid sand is funky, kinda cool and edgy, but also kinda asphalt. 😛
