Bioderma are one of my favourite “sciencey” brands. Not only do they use science-backed ingredients, but they also conduct their own skin research in association with research institutes and dermatologists, and it’s been published in some pretty prestigious peer-reviewed journals (Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, European Journal of Dermatology,).
This extensive devotion to research is reflected in their products, which I’ve talked about before – they invented micellar water, their Atoderm range is recommended by eczema organisations and dermatologists, and their sunscreens (unfortunately not available in Australia) have some of the highest UVAPFs available.

As you’d expect, they have a lot of skincare products to cater for different skin types and conditions, so in this video I’m taking you through some of the Sebium products.
I talk about:
- What causes acne?
- How does Sebium help with acne?
- How Sebium’s patented ingredient blends work
- Product overview: what they’re designed to do, and what I thought of them
- Sebium H2O Micelle Solution (micellar water)
- Sebium Cleansing Foaming Gel
- Sebium Sensitive
- Sebium Hydra
- Sebium Mat Control

Here are some of the patents – be warned, they’re quite technical!
There are also a couple of peer-reviewed studies on Sebium Global.

What other brands would you like to see me cover in detail?
Bioderma products can be purchased in Australia at Priceline, Adore Beauty and Chemist Warehouse.

I love your simple explanations in these videos. The company has done many amazing things over the years, and it shows their care for people who use their products.
Explaining things out in a simpler manner often comes as a easy remedy for the ones suffering from it. Thanks for the useful info.
I have used this product and its one of the best in the market. I love to use many beauty products and find which gives better results and i get the most effective results from Vitamin c serum. I would also recommend Vit C Serum for you.
Hi Michelle, thanks for the brand overview – it was very helpful and has gotten me more interested in their products. Have you tried their Sebium Lotion (basically a toner)?

I’ve been considering this, but am not sure it would add much if I’m already using their Sebium Micellar water.
Btw, I don’t know if you plan on doing other brand line overviews in the future, but I’d love to see another on La Roche-Posay as they seem somewhat researched based, though less so compared to Bioderma.
cheers,
Paul
