So to celebrate I made this video, where I do my makeup and answer your questions on my other job, how old I am, my education, how long it takes to make a video and lots of random questions about skincare and beauty. Hopefully it’s a nice distraction during this time!

Love this video! As I look forward to all your posts! I always learn something new every time.
Really enjoyed this video! I have been everywhere sharing your video on why DIY sunscreens are a bad idea because I have been seeing so many big youtubers who supposedly know about skincare recommending that people mix sunscreens to get the right shade or mix oils/moisturizers/whatever into sunscreens to get texture they want. Your video on DIY sunscreens is so remarkably clear about how sunscreens work and how important they are! I only wish it went further to let people know that mixing sunscreens or anything into sunscreens is basically DIY-ing a sunscreen and that is not a good idea. Just FYI, I was shocked to see Dr Dray recommend in a recent (supposedly unsponsored) video that you can mix dermablend’s pigment drops into sunscreens because dermablend showed her an industry study (not published, not peer-reviewed) claiming that altering a sunscreen in this way does not alter the sunscreen’s effectiveness. Could you please review this industry study or comment on this practice of mixing pigments or other sunscreens into sunscreens? Dr Dray’s video is here: https://youtu.be/3PxhHN08-fY
I should do a separate video on this topic! Thanks for the info – I might contact Dermablend and see if they’re willing to let me see the study.
Thank you! It would be really awesome if you would make a separate video about mixing sunscreens! And dermablend’s industry study results are hard to believe – mixing pigments with sunscreen in your hand and still getting effective uv protection? Really?
