Interesting! It does say that it worked at pH 7 but not at pH 6 though, which doesn’t make me very optimistic that it works at lower pH…

If using the same bottle of distilled water what do you think about pre-mixing the dry vitamin c and bicarb? Could potentially also add aloe vera powder. Then there would be no risk of microbial growth, but easier to make daily/weekly.

As explained in the post, H+ ions act as a preservative, and should be sufficient in a low nutrient formula that isn’t meant to be kept for long.
